Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest
Search by Town/Village
Bedgebury Forest is the place to go for those that love cycling, walking, riding and adventure play, close to nearby Cranbrook & Goudhurst.
The National Pinetum at Bedgebury is regarded as being the 'finest collection of conifers on one site in the world'. It's a 300 acre Pinetum containing over 12,000 trees and shrubs from across five continents, many of them rare and endangered.
The Pinetum's origins began when the Royal Botanic Gardens at Kew said that London was an unsuitable site for a new conifer collection. They chose Bedgebury instead - selected for its marshy land and drier ridges, and its streams, lakes and valleys. Today its a haven for walkers, dogs & families who love the outdoors.
