The Kent & East Sussex Railway describes itself as 'the country's finest example of a rural light railway'.
Indeed it is soemthing magical - a steam train in the heart of the countrysidethat begins its journey in the delightful small town of Tenterden (the 'jewel of the Weald'), and ends at the impressive Bodiam Castle.
Check the website for details of events. In particular, check for details of the Thomas the Tank Engine rides ('A Day Out with Thomas') which happen several times throughout the year. Not to be missed for those with young children!
